King Salmon Recipe

Baked King Salmon with Garlic and Dijon

 

Ingredients:

  • – 4 fresh king salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • – Salt and pepper to taste
  • – 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • – 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • – 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • – 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • – 1 tablespoon honey
  • – 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • – 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • – Lemon wedges (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. **Preheat the Oven**: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. **Prepare the Salmon**: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper and place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down.
  3. **Make the Sauce**: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, lemon juice, and chopped dill until well combined.
  4. **Coat the Salmon**: Spoon the mustard mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet, spreading it out with the back of the spoon to cover the fillets completely.
  5. **Bake the Salmon**: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. **Serve**: Remove the salmon from the oven and transfer to serving plates. Garnish with lemon wedges and additional fresh dill if desired.

This dish pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, a fresh green salad, or steamed rice. Enjoy your flavorful and healthy king salmon!
