Grilled Lobster Tails with Garlic Herb Butter

Ingredients:

  • – 4 lobster tails
  • – 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • – 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • – 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • – 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • – 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • – 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • – Salt and pepper to taste
  • – Lemon wedges (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. **Prepare the Lobster Tails**:
  • – Using kitchen shears, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise, stopping just before the tail fin.
  • – Carefully pull apart the shell and gently lift the meat, keeping it attached at the base. Place the meat on top of the shell.
  1. **Make the Garlic Herb Butter**:

– In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, chopped chives, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  1. **Preheat the Grill**:

    – Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  1. **Grill the Lobster Tails**:
  • – Brush the lobster meat with the garlic herb butter mixture.
  • – Place the lobster tails on the grill, shell side down.
  • – Grill for about 5-7 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and slightly firm to the touch. Baste occasionally with the garlic herb butter during grilling.
  1. **Serve**:

  – Remove the lobster tails from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.

  – Drizzle with any remaining garlic herb butter.

  – Garnish with lemon wedges and additional chopped herbs if desired.
